Nokia Recalls 46 Million Mobile Phone Batteries
Nokia has announced a product advisory for one of its Nokia branded batteries the BL-5C.

This battery was made by Matsushita Batter Industrial Co. Ltd of Japan between December 2005 and November 2006. Nokia estimates that more than 300 million of this battery have been made, but the recall only applies to 46 million of them.
The battery could potentially cause overheating due to a short circuit while charging that will cause the battery to dislodge.
So far there have been about 100 reports worldwide of the battery actually overheating. If you have one of these batteries.
You can get a replacement from Nokia at www.nokia.com/batteryreplacement where you can check your battery identification number to see if it is one of the effected models.
