Game & Game World Championship Takes Off

The GNGWC (Game&Game World Championship, www.gngwc.com) is an international game competition which began in 2006 by Korean IT Industry Promotion Agency (KIPA) in order to promote Korean online games throughout the World.

This year’s competition will begin with European preliminary round started in August, followed by America and East Pacific Asia in September, and Japan in October.

The final winners of each country will be selected to participate in the grand final held on December 1st in Seoul, Korea, and digital camera, MP3 player, and DVD player are provided to 2nd, 3rd winners of each regional match. Furthermore, the 1st place of the grand final will be awarded 5,000(USD), and 3,000(USD) for the 2nd place, and 1,000(USD) for the 3rd place.

Last year, 1,070,000 gamers from 5 regions including Korea, Europe, Southeast Asia, Japan, and America took participation in this competition of three official games.

Compared to last year’s event, the number of GNGWC 2007 official games is expanded to six games, and this years begins with the  will begin European preliminary round in this month.
