decTop the $100 PC
Check out the decTOP PC from Data Evolution.

The system comes with 128MB of RAM, a 10GB hard drive (both of which are expandable), and runs a 333MHz AMD processor.
It is a great solution for running a web server or other lightweight applications, and features built in VGA, Ethernet, USB, audio and a modem.
The decTOP measures in at just 5.5″ x 8.5″ x 2.5″ and weighs only three pounds, making it portbale.
The decTOP doesn’t come with any OS installed, but at that price who cares, add in your favourite version of Linux and you have a seriously cheap PC.
Here’s the specs
- Memory: 128MB SDRAM / 10GB HDD

The cpu is AMD Geode GX2 at 366 not 333, the front side buss speed is 333.
Ram is expandable to 512Mb, is ddr-2700 SO-DIMM.
Ac adaptor power output is 3.3ampres (~40watts)
Sound is Crystal cs5535s.
Video seems to be some NEC GX2 (still checking it out).
I have run several unix systems on it well, and even xp-pro sp1 with 256mb ram.
Would you like to see the dmesg output form a live mandriva?

We are loading them with asterisk.
My decTOP now only has a memory upgrade to 256 DDR 2700 since I was not able to install 512Mb. What did I do wrong? Please provide comprehensive response.
Cysco – You can contact Data Evolution directly with any technical issues with the link below:

The reason why I wrote the above was due to Data Evol. mainly having the ability to speak to technicians, etc., in the know of the business. So, if I can get details written on this site, then I can take them to my technician who said he was not able to install the 512Mb. (He did install the 256). Perhaps, he should just call Data but in New York either you have the info then for installation or you do not. Wonderful. Cysco
