Toshiba’s Laptops To Get 320GB Hard Drives

Toshiba’s first 320 GB 2.5 inch HDD for laptops will go into production later in the year, this is the first laptop HDD to be announced with that capacity.

The drive is one of a series of five that make up Toshiba’s new MKxx52SX family of hard-disk drives. The 320GB model will contain two platters — the circular disks on which data is recorded.

With every increasing demand for more storage space, especially for multimedia laptop users, as video takes up quite a lot of space, especially the new Hi-Def stuff, I am sure it won’t be long before we see laptops coming with even bigger hard drives.

I wonder how long it will be before we see laptops with a 1TB hard drive as standard.
