Idiot buys World of Warcraft character for £5,000 then gets banned
According to Gizmodo some guy just spent £5,000 (about $10,000) of his hard earned cash on a World of Warcraft Character.
Many of you have probably seen the online auctions for various characters and virtual currency, and if you have played any of these games your probably like me and don’t see the point in spending real life cash on a bunch of pixels.
The character that was bought came wielding the much prized Twin Blades of Azzinoth , which drop off big baddie Illidan Stormrage from the The Black Temple.
The character also came with four out of five pieces of a Tier 6 armor set, as well as lots of other goodies.
The unhinged buyer’s in-game name is Shaks but there may be a problem getting to play with his sharp new toys.
Selling anything from the game-world in the real world for real cash is frowned on by game-maker Blizzard and, rumour has it, his account has already been banned.
So basically he has spent £5,000 on a bunch of pixels, which no longer exist, guess he should have just played the game like everyone else and just had some fun.
