Iomega launches a bunch of new Mac external Hard Disk Drives
Iomega has unveiled a bunch of new external hard drives at the Apple expo.
First up is the UltraMax Pro, which is a 1.5TB HDD with two Sata-II drives with RAID 0, 1 or JBOD configurations, plus two Firewire 800 ports, one Firewire 400 and two USB ports, the UltraMax Pro will retail for $600 (about £300).

Next up is the UltraMax, which is a single e-SATA drive with two FireWire 800, one FireWire 400 and one USB ports. RAID support is dropped due to capacity being limited to 500 or 750GB, there is no RAID support but the UltraMax starts at $190 (about£95)

Then there is the MiniMax, which has 750GB of storage, three USB 2.0 and three Firewire ports, which is designed to be stacked with Apple’s Mac Mini, no pricing on this one is available yet.

The last in the lineup is the eGo, which is an ultra portable drive now with a maximum capacity of 250GB, there will also be a second 160GB drive with both FireWire 400 and USB 2.0 interfaces.

These each run on Mac OS X 10.1, and should be available in October for $260 (about £130) and $160 (about £80).
