It’s UK iPhone Day!

November 9, 2007

Finally after a long wait, the UK iPhone will go on sale today at 6.02 pm.

The iPhone will be available in Apple stores, O2 stores, and the Carphone Warehouse, and all of these stores will open at 6.02 pm today until 10.00pm.

I am interested to see what reposne the UK iPhone gets, I suspect it is going to be a big hit here in the UK, the only thing that will let it down is that it will run on the slower EDGE network, rather than 3G which is very popular here in the UK, but I suspect a lot of people will put up with this.

The iPhone is going to cost you £269 upfront and then a regular monthly fee, the tariffs available are £35, £45 and £55 per month, and you will have to comit to an 18 month contract with O2.

I would be interested to hear how many of our readers are going to buy the iPhone, and what they think about the cost of it.

I will definitely be buying an iPhone. My Nokia N95 died the other day (my fault) so rather than replace like with like I’m opting for the iPhone. I should add that i’m a very very big fan of everything Apple so probably would have got one anyway, depsite the demise of the N95. In fact must dash as I need to start queueing!
