Alienware’s New Area 51 ALX CF gets the new 45nm Penryn Processors
Alienware’s new Area-51 ALX CF has the new 45nm Penryn Processors, this is the first machine available to use these new chips.

They can be orderd overclocked up to 4.0GHZ and they come with dual CrossFire ATI Radeon HD 3870 cards.
The Area-51 ALX CF is not cheap though with a starting price of $5,499 (about £2,750).
I had a play about on the Alienware site, adding all the top hardware options, and managed to get the price up to $11,670 (about £5750)
You can order the Area-51 ALX CF online from Alienware. via Engadget

Although the price is very steep, I’m sure a lot of people will be purchasing this beast.
I’ll stay on the safe side and wait

First things first, nvidia will hate it if you call having dual HD3879 cards SLI. It’s Crossfire ;D
The price is really steep…. eg you could overclock it yourself but you’d have no warranty.. alienware still provide a warranty even overclocked…… it is expensive… £3k to £6k… woah..
Hey TD
Thanks for the heads up, I have fixed the post
And the price is high, I bet you could build a couple of serious PC’s which would give it some competition for 6k
