Seiko Epson Develops High Resolution Electronic Paper Display

Seiko Epson has developed a new high resolution electronic paper with a resolution of 1600 x 1200 on a 6.7 inch diagonal screen.

The device features almost 2 million pixels, about 230 pixels per inch which is about three times the average LCD display.

This new electronic paper is just 3mm thick and can display 1400 pages on a single button cell battery.

No word on what devices Seiko Epson will be releasing with the new display.

    It is amazing but who need 1600×1200 for book reading??? Hopefully it can do other stuff :P
