T-Mobile Germany to offer unlocked iPhones for $1500
After yesterdays story about T-Mobile being ordered by a German court to sell a contract free iPhone, T-Mobile have complied with the court order and will now be offering an unlocked iPhone in Germany.

The unlocked iPhones will retail for 999 Euros (about $1500 or about £750), which is considerably more than the 399 Euro price with a contract.
I wonder if Vodafone were expecting this sort of reaction ? maybe they were expecting the court to make T-Mobile offer the iPhone for the standard selling price unlocked, I guess this has stopped them in their tracks.
Apparantly people in Germany who have already purchased an iPhone with T-Mobile will be able to get it unlocked for free, but they will obviously still have to continue whatever contract they have taken out with T-Mobile.
It will be interesting to see how Apple respond to this and how this will effect other European countries.
