Nice concept, though i have a few problems:

1: projecters need large ammounts of circutry, and would never fit in the small form factor here
2: Projectors have alot of problems with heat… as do computers… surly stacking them will be a bit stupid
3: as a main display, a projector is bad…. bad quality and bad in light places…
    4: the keyboard looks horid
    5:speakers also look horid

    Still… a nice idea

  • It’s interesting. Seems kind of cool. However, would someone want their computer to be located in the same place that their projector is located? The CPU unit is usually stored under a desk to keep it out of the way. Modern projectors are, in my experience, being placed on ceilings and controlled from computers. This seems to be ideal. Having the CPU unit and the Projector unit in the same physical space seems impractical.

    Hey, Joe
    1. Technology is amazing. It’s constantly advancing. Who would have thought twenty years ago that you would be able to fit a tv screen that’s less than two centimeters thick IN YOUR PHONE. See? Amazing.
    2. Learn how to spell before you call someone else’s idea stupid. (“Surly” you have access to a dictionary?)
    3. Stop whining.

Well.. Joe I have seen a projector a lot smaller than this and the viewing experience was pretty decent! And yes the lens and cooling was well built. I mean i have seen some projectors that are the size of my desk! But you can make one as small as you want.

I think it is a pretty amazing concept, and I love featuring the concepts of these up and coming young designers on the site as it gives us a glimpse of what gadgets of the future may be like.

  • I want one! Want it, want it, want it.

Can you hook up regular TV signal to it?

Too bad it would be Microsoft.

  • Cool concept. This is great, I would like PC’s to become more portable and user friendly. Being able to move it about when ever needed, without 2000 wires and plugs, PCs are becoming better and my current PC is half the size of the previous one and with a nice LCD (only shows hard drive and temperature). Without concepts like these people will not innovate. It may not be possible in 2008 but can you gurantee it will not be possible in 2010 (I would bet on it being possible by 2010). Technology moves fast and the last 5 years proves that is possible. I thought the 2 gb card card I bought earlier this year for my phone was amazing and now I have an 8GB card for my Nokia N95 phone.
