Giant Step Sideways for Robots
Turning on the spot is a complicated manoeuvre for two legged robots, until now. This 50cm robot can turn through a full 90 degrees, effortlessly with what looks like a Tia-Chi move
… very smooth. This giant step for robot kind will have major implications on future robotic developments. Koeda now hopes to develop the robot to turn on slopes and rougher surfaces.
