This HE Human Electric Hybrid Vehicle concept uses the power of your muscles as well electricity stored in the batteries. It allows smooth and constant velocity both uphill (with the help of the electric motor), as well as downhill (when the wheel acts as a generator and charges the batteries). The vehicle can turn 360 degrees maintaining stability all the time. Additional power is acquired from photovoltaic placed on top of the vehicle as well as during de-acceleration from regenerative braking. Elderly and handicapped people that are unable to provide enough kinetic energy can also charge the batteries directly from the grid.

I bet this revolutionary wheelchair is made by italian pre-grad students. Please make an effort next time. Its so stupid on so many levels. It does remind of one south park episode:

    Hi!
This is a good project. It is in fact a jeep, because of the wheel size.
I would like to have a more precise plan about it.
Well done! I like the 2 weels put in angle.
How it turns. If you put a brake does it turn your whole body upside down?

I don’t know if I’d trust these developers. They don’t know how to spell Hybrid.

In the pursuit of movement, I applaud anyone trying to figure out a way to get off our dependace of oil! I have to say, I think it is interesting however, that this idea has been approached from so many different angles. Take a look at the HyperBike (http://www.hyperbike.info/) which looks somewhat similar to this concept vehicle, however it already exists and NASA is interested in its design. Keep up the great work and ignore the nay-sayers…The same was said about the bicycle, car, and planes and look at where they are today!
