Moldable mouse
This mouse concept by Lite-on is made of lightweight modeling clay with a flexible polyurethane and nylon fabric cover that lets you mold it into whatever shape is most comfortable for you. The stick on, radio-frequency controlled mouse buttons and touch-sensitive scroll pad can be attached in any position to suit the user.

Moldable Mouse breaks the boundaries of the traditional mouse with its revolutionary design. Currently, all computer mouse products in the market are made with hard plastic, and their shapes are not universally adaptable to the human hand. Even the most advanced “ergonomically designed” mouse does not fit the preferences of every user. The inelasticity of the plastic model is problematic for long-time usage, as numerous people have suffered wrist injuries from extensive use in a fixed position. Moldable Mouse eliminates this problem with its unique design. more info

This really could be the way forward, I’m impressed.
This is the best mouse idea I have ever seen… I can only hope that this concept will materialize
this is pretty sweet but.. What happens when the buttons start sinking in and it changes from the shape you wanted it to be?.. Lol..
You just squeeze it back into shape? This looks soo cool
It’d be better if it could somehow harden? Maybe it reacts with water or something to harden your shape permanently but could be re-softened to be molded into a different shape through some other solution?
I totally want one of those! They should use the same “button” technology to stick buttons in other places other than the mouse. That would work well for laptop keyboards or customizing your office.
That looks really cool
I want one
[…] Many times I’ve seen people complaining of being not too comfortable with their current mouse and wish to add their personal comfortable touch to the accessory. If this is a concern for you too, then without any doubts you’ll love this concept of moldable mouse and no wonders it has received enough accolades after winning the 2007 Red Dot Awards. The mouse offers you the flexibility to shape your mouse any way you like as it’s made out of lightweight modeling clay with a flexible polyurethane and nylon fabric. With this at your hand, you’ll be able to shape-up your mouse the way you are comfortable holding it…as a joystick or a side scrolled or in any other unique shape. All you need to do is shape-it up and out the ‘stick-on’ stick on, radio-frequency controlled mouse buttons and touch-sensitive scroll at any position you like.Sounds cool…specially for those who love change!Via: gadgetastic […]

I think we are starting to go backwards here.
Whats wrong with the solid mouses we have now? Do you really think this mouldable mouse will be more comfortable? of course it won’t. Like someone asked above; “What happens when it starts to lose its shape?” - Answer came back as, “Just remould it”. But WHY?!? when we can buy a solid mouse that doesn’t need remoulding every other day.
If these came out first (before the solid mouse) wouldn’t everyone be saying - Why don’t they make these solid!
I’m all for evolving and making things ‘better’ as we go, not worse!!
Maybe its just kids that replied above & they want a new toy
If these do ever come out, I bet most people will mould it in the shape of a mouse, just as the 1st and last diagram shows above.
Lets be honest, who wants a mouse similar to the other diagrams?
