Touchscreen Eee Arriving Shortly

Asus’s 8.9-inch second-generation Eee PC lineup will include touchscreen panels and possible GPS support, with shipments expected to begin in May or June, according to Kevin Lin, vice president of Asustek’s sales department.

Pricing on the touchscreen Eee is expected to come in at around $500. No word on any other specs, including screen size,  Processor and other features, but it will most likely fall in line with the current generation Eee specs. Asus also plans to launch the $199 E-DT PC at the same time, which is essentially a desktop variant of the Eee laptop, sporting 1GB RAM, and 4-12 GB of SSD space.Via Boy Genius
