Consumption Feedback Switch

Consumption Feedback Switch is a smart switch that lets you know if you have misused, over-used or smartly consumed power when you use a gadget. The smart switch produces a flashing light with a sparkle and the intensity of the spark lets you know how smartly you have used power. The spark is stronger if the power consumption is more and lighter when it is the other way round. The smart switch makes consumers smarter and more aware of misusing non-renewable resources.

“This switch uses the electric sparkle as a metaphor. When you switch the light on (or off), a flashing light is produced, which is more or less intense depending on the house’s actual energy consumption. A strong sparkle is emitted when there is a strong consumption. A light spark when there is little energy consumption. This is a non intrusive interaction as the consumption only becomes visible when you manipulate electric appliances.”
