Technology Gadget : Touchscreen X10 Poker Table

Check out this automated touchscreen poker table form X10. Its yours if you have spare $30k. Out of the box it’s programmed with Texas Hold’em and Blackjack, which you can even play simultaneously. The manufacturers also promise a lifetime of software updates.

The X10 comes with a set of ten 12.1” touchscreens, one for each player, while featuring a 27″ touchscreen in the center of the table which acts as the dealer and house hand display. The player reveals there cards by touching the card animations on their screens.

    Certainly looks cool, but sometimes analog activities are best kept analog. Poker without actual cards just doesn’t seem as much like poker anymore. And part of the appeal (for me) of playing cards is the interaction, which you’d probably loose quite a bit of with everyone focusing on their own video displays.
