iRiver SPINN PMP has a Release Date

Back in January we posted about iRiver’ new and decidedly luscious SPINN PMP which occasioned more than a few jaws to drop at this year’s CES but, at that time, all we could tell you was that iRiver’s SPINN would become available later in the year on account of no release dates being divulged, however, at last, iRiver has confirmed that their SPINN will be released in August.

The SPINN comes with a 3.2” AMOLED 480 x 272 resolution display, MP3, WMA, MPEG-4 and OGG file format compatibility, Bluetooth and a purported battery life of up to 25 hours for audio, five hours for video and four hours of digital radio and supports Flash video  with a dedicated 3D acceleration chip to allow for a particularly smooth animated UI.

Set to become available in the UK in August in either 4GB, 8GB or 16GB, with DAB radio capabilities thrown in, iRiver have not seen fit to confirm unit pricing.
