Asus has now offically launched details of its new Eee Stick gaming controller which has hardly been a secret. The device is expected to be “bundled exclusively” with “certain models” of the Eee PC and Eee Box and that it’ll come with a collection of games that have been designed specifically for it.

ASUS has confirmed that the device operates on the 2.4GHz frequency, which could be interesting depending on what other wireless devices you have nearby, and that each stick will require a pair of AA batteries, which ASUS says will give you three days of continuous use.

No details on price or launch date atm.

wii clone much? I guess someone has to jump on the Wii bandwagon. Could be a good concept for PC gaming but I personally don’t like separate controllers unless they serve a specific purpose.

If they control the game spatially by movement, they could be useful. Otherwise I would agree that separate controllers are difficult. And if you’re holding both controls, how do you use the front buttons at the same time?
