Blackberry Bold Smartphone
As we await final news on the launch of its new product I want to know whether you prefer to indulge yourself with apple pie or blackberry pudding?
Blackberry will release the latest version of its emailing mobile phone the Blackberry Bold later this month in an ongoing technology battle with rivals Apple and Nokia. The new phone, called the Bold, will go on sale in the UK around the middle of this month, although no date has yet been set.
It is expected to be available initially at retailers Carphone Warehouse and T-Mobile.
The Carphone Warehouse said the Blackberry Bold, like its rival the iPhone 3G, will be free with a contract but will not be available on “pay as you go” deals.
The Blackberry has already proved highly successful with business workers.
The launch of the Bold comes a month after Apple launched its much-anticipated iPhone 3G.
Research in Motion (RIM), the creator of the BlackBerry, described the new phone as “a symbol of accomplishment and aspiration”. It said the Bold’s added processing power would “make short work of downloading email attachments, streaming video or rendering web pages”.
It will allow users to talk on the phone while sending emails and accessing the internet. It also features a 2-megapixel camera with video recording capability, a gigabyte of memory and a media player for watching movies and managing music collections.
Speaking personally I’d like a slice of each!

The collest of Blackberry Bold features is 2-megapixel camera with video recording capability, Media player for watching movies and managing music is nice for Blackberry user.
Blackberry Bold is not the sleekest smartphone, but an excellent screen, superb keyboard and brilliant battery life make it the best of the rest. Blackberry Smartphones are excellent ease of use, responsive and has powerful search facilities
The User Selectable Fonts are one of its top features besides the brilliant dispaly. I can set the fonts to an easily readable size. Pity it does’nt alter the the font on the display too. Am not sure about the browser but its too tiny for me to read and use. Got it on Orange and although I am happy the sugnal where I live is pathetic so may force its return. I would still get another with an alternative network that offers better signal. The GPS and Maps don’t work either but I am told they are looking into this.
Blackberry Bold is bulky and a little uncomfortable in your pocket and the wi-fi is lacking compared to other providers. I think i still prefer Samsung Behold.
