Very recently, AT&T decided to launch the Pantech Reveal.  It’s a new phone that is expected to entice consumers with its unique, vertical sliding QWERTY keyboard.  The numbered keypad is completely separate from the keyboard and this makes it easier to switch between the letters and numbers.  Amazingly, both keypads stay active at the same time.  It’s the first phone on the market to have this type of feature.

In addition to making texting and dialing easier, the Pantech Reveal is also one of AT&T’s first phones to offer a new internet browser based on Opera.  There are three different screens that pop up when users decide to start browsing the internet.  The first one is for web surfing, the other for popular news stories, and the final one is for finding local interests.  The screen can also easily zoom in and out of the web browser pages.

Some of the other features of the phone include 3G support, 1.3-megapixel camera, a music player and a GPS.  The GPS system is provided by AT&T Navigator and has voice-guided, turn-by-turn directions that happen in real time.  The Pantech Reveal also comes with four games: Uno, Ms. Pac-Man, The Sims 3 and Dash Two.  There are a few applications that are already preloaded as well, including apps for banking and checking the weather.  So far, the Pantech Reveal has garnered great reviews and is expected to do well during the holiday shopping season.

The phone is $79, but this price comes attached to a two-year service agreement commitment with AT&T.
