Unlike some motorcycles that require significant riding experience, the Yamaha EC-f is designed for riders of all experience levels and ages.  The bike is user friendly and is being referred to as an “eco motorcycle.”

The frame on the Yamaha EC-f is lightweight and the motorbike runs on a lithium ion battery.  The Yamaha EC-f comes equipped with a 0.6kWh electric motor, but it’s unknown how far the bike will go on a single charge of the battery.

Riders on the Yamaha EC-f will be alerted to whether or not they are running out of fuel based on the stylish rings found on the bike’s tires and body.  When the green ring turns red, it means that the battery needs to be recharged.  Although the bike probably won’t be able to travel long distances, it may be perfect for short, urban escapades.
