The device offers ten channels currently.  The channels are NBC, Nickelodeon, MSNBC, Fox News Channel, CNBC, Comedy Central, CBS, and Adult Swim.  Fortunately, the company has plans to add more channels eventually and has been in talks with various television network providers.

The FLO TV Personal Television is not the most attractive product for individuals that already have smart phones or other devices that can offer them the ease of watching movies and television while simultaneously making calls.  The FLO TV Personal Television only specializes in television.

One of the benefits to the FLO TV Personal Television is the battery life.  Consumers should be able to watch at least a few hours of television before depleting the battery.  FLO TV claims that the personal television should offer up to five hours of battery life.

Consumers can expect to pay $249 for the FLO TV Personal Television.  In addition to the price, users must also pay a $9 monthly subscription fee so that they can receive the channels.

I honestly don’t see this going anywhere. $250 for a device that is basically replaced by things like Slingbox and the like? No… this device doesn’t break any new ground, is not an example of convergent technology, and has poor specs in general. 5 hours of TV is nothing and the limited channel selection at $9 a month seal the fate of this device.
