The HOMErgent Shelter was created by a company called HOMErgent.  The company realized that each day, the United Nations needs 100,000 new homes for the poor and needy.

Unfortunately, many people don’t have sustainable homes and HOMErgent attempted to provide a remedy for this problem with their HOMErgent Shelters.

The company prides itself on creating low-cost, portable and sustainable homes. Instead of creating homes that are a drain on resources, HOMErgent provides homes that have the ability to harvest natural resources so that people can live as efficiently as possible.

The HOMErgent Shelters can serve multiple purposes. The homes can be used for disaster victims, refugees, and anyone else that stands in need of shelter.  Those who encounter natural disasters such as hurricanes, typhoons, and earthquakes can be helped by the homes HOMErgent offers.

The homes use eco-friendly materials and technologies that can provide people with power, lighting, water, sanitation, and the ability to cook meals.

Although the home is easily transportable, it is still a high quality shelter.  HOMErgent Shelters were created for people that are in survival-mode and either do not have a home because it was destroyed, or perhaps were born into an environment without shelter.
