The Nikon Coolpix S70 is a 12-megapixel camera with a 3.5-inch OLED screen. The camera does have great resolution at 4000 pixels. The battery life on the camera is 200 shots and the camera does have a rechargeable battery. The Nikon is also very portable and can easily fit into a pants pocket or a small bag so it’s perfect for traveling.

The Nikon Coolpix S70 is available in four different color combinations and those that enjoy vintage-styled items will find the camera attractive.  The camera has a faux leather front that is tastefully done.

Some cameras are developed for individuals who like to point and shoot but the Nikon Coolpix S70 was created for snap shooters. There is an automatic mode on the camera that gives users a lot of control over the exposure, white balance, and other color effects.

The Nikon Coolpix S70 isn’t perfect and the camera has a few downsides.  One downside is the speed of the camera. It takes about two seconds for the camera to get prepared to shoot. Users can expect to wait an average of 2 seconds between each shot and 2.7 seconds if they decide to use the flash.

One of the best features of the camera is the variety of modes available to users. In the scene mode there is something called a skin-softening component.  This feature is perfect for smoothing skin tones.

One complaint of the Nikon Coolpix S70 was that the touchscreen LCD was frustrating to use at times. Despite this frustration, the LCD screen is beautifully bright and very responsive. It is a definite improvement from older versions of camera.

The Nikon Coolpix S70 is pretty expensive. Users can expect to pay about $400 for the camera.  The photo quality is great, and for the price point, users shouldn’t be disappointed.
