Nintendo bottoms out on Greenpeace scores
Greenpeace releases a “Guide to Greener Electronics” guide on a regular basis which tracks how “green” technology companies are on a scale from 0-10. Their latest guide features 18 companies, and Nintendo came in dead last. Greenpeace said Microsoft, Philips and Panasonic also scored fairly low, with 4.7, 4.3 and 4.7 respectively.

Not only did they come in dead last, they scored only a measly 0.3 of 10. Their closest competitor (Philips) scored a full four points higher. There are a total of nine different categories that are taken into account for the score. Apparently the only thing Nintendo managed to do was establish a Green Procurement Standards for Suppliers. They weren’t able to actually provide this information, only mention that they had it. That gave them a “Partially Bad” on Chemicals Management, and “Bad” on everything else.

Nes Emulator On The iPhone
A clever programer called ’stepwhite’ has brought the InfoNES core to the iPhone along with a few games including Mario, Zelda etc.

At the moment it is not quite finished as the emulator is currently to slow for anyone to play a game, I am sure it won’t take them long to fix that.
The cool thing about it is that it features a virtual NES controller which uses the IPhones touchscreen.
Check out the video, its pretty cool.

Nintendo must be happy, as they have sold over three million units of their popular Wii Console in Japan.

The Wii has outsold the PS3 in Japan at a ratio of 3:1 with only one million PS3 consoles sold there to date.
Nintendo are very smart with their Wii console, they have developed an inventive and fun console that the whole family can enjoy, which has taken the casual gaming market by storm, something which other consoles have previously failed to do.
And with their constant addition of new games and accessories for the Wii, built around their popular Wiimote it can only go from strength to strength.
