Nokia N810 with WiMAX

Nokia is set to launch its N810 refresh with WiMAX at CTIA in April this year. The Nokia N810 offers up to 45 hours of music playback and memory to store up to 7,500 songs on an optional 10GB memory card. The refreshed Video Gizmo, Skype and Rhapsody highlight some most popular downloads available while Boingo Wireless, Earthlink and The Cloud enable Wi-Fi connectivity, across thousands of different locations globally.

Sony Ericsson’s new XPERIA brand will focus on multimedia and mobile web communication. The X1 has a 3-inch wide VGA (800 x 480) touchscreen display, 3.2 megapixel camera (with photo light), A2DP Bluetooth, aGPS, WiFi, and microSD, 400MB on board. On the phone side you’ve got quad-band GSM/EDGE, and 900/1700/1900/2100MHz UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA (or 850/1700/1900/2100MHz in what must be a US-bound model). New Nokia N810 Internet Tablet

Nokia’s new Linux based tablet allows users to connect to the internet with ease. The N810 will be the first device to use the Nokia Internet Tablet OS 2008. The new OS has a Mozilla Gecko based browser, 2Gb of internal storage, 0.3 MP camera and a MiniSDHC card slot. It also has a transreflective display which allows the user to read even in bright sunlight.

HP Launches 100 and 200 Series iPAQ PDA’s

HP has launched two new PDA’s the 100 Series Classic and the 200 Series Enterprise edition.

Both models will run Windows mobile 6, have 64 MB or RAM and 256MB of ROM, a Marvell PXA310 624MHz CPU, 802.11b/g, Bluetooth 2.0, and color touchscreens.

The 100 features a 3.5-inch, 240 x 320, RGB screen, Mini-USB, and SDIO card slot, and the 200 features a 4-inch, 480 x 640, 260k screen, 24-pin and Mini-USB connectors, plus SDIO and CF card slots.

HTC Touch - Can it take on the iPhone

HTC has confirmed the launch of its new smart phone the HTC Touch.

The HTC Touch is being launched in the UK, and HTC hope to rival the much anticipated Apple iPhone.

The new smart phone will run Windows Mobile 6, and use a touch screen interface for navigation, which is similar to that of the iPhone.

The HTC Touch will feature an on screen keyboard, and only one button for answering calls.

The new handset is available in the UK today on either Orange or T-Mobile, and will be launched in the US in the second part of 2007.

Whether or not it can be a true rival for the iPhone remains to be seen.

Palm’s new Foleo mobile companion

Palm has today announced the launch of the Palm Foleo, a mobile companion.

The Foleo is a scaled down laptop, with a web browser, email, and you can also view attachements in a variety of formats including, PDF’s, Word and Exel.

It has a 10-inch screen and a full size keyboard, it connects wirelessly to your smartphone, to retrieve email and surf the web.

The Foleo will cost $499 (with a $100 rebate) in the US, not details are realesed yet on European pricing.
