Khet Laser Board Game

April 2, 2008 at 6:46 am

Khet combines lasers with classic strategy for 2 Players. There are four types of playing pieces, and two of them have mirrors. Game play is simple, and easy to learn, as there are only 3 movement choices. The goal is to eliminate your opponent’s Pharaoh. And, you eliminate the Pharaoh just like they did in olden times - by firing a red laser! Each side of the board is equipped with its own laser, which you press after your turn. The laser bounces from mirror to mirror (always shooting off at a 90 degree angle). If the laser hits any piece on a non-reflective surface, that piece is removed from play. If you eliminate your opponent’s Pharaoh, you win. If you eliminate your own Pharaoh, you will be mocked for all time.

Snipe It Game inspired by online auction tactics

March 12, 2008 at 8:28 am

Check out this Snipe it game…  it’s not how fast you answer, but whether you’re the last one to give the right answer before the timer goes. This electronic trivia game is apparently inspired by the tactic of sniping on eBay whereby you bid for an item in the last seconds of an auction in order to prevent others outbidding you.

Fun Gadgets - The TandemZ-1 Micro Chopper

March 8, 2008 at 10:48 am

Check out this fun gadget the TandemZ-1 Micro Chopper.

Fun Gadgets - The TandemZ-1 Micro Chopper

Although the Tandem is too titchy to carry troops or heavy artillery, it’s more than capable of lifting your spirits (groan!) as it aka-aka-aka’s around the room. And that’s no surprise because this is the world’s first twin-rotor micro chopper. It’s more fun than a Chinook load of fun things from Funville.

Just like its single rotor siblings, the Tandem is charged via a dual purpose infra red transmitter. But that’s where the similarities end, because twin rotors require all sorts of technical jiggery-pokery in order to work effectively.

The TandemZ-1 Micro Chopper  is available to buy online for £39.95 about $80 from Firebox.

Echo Bots your bendable talking friend

February 17, 2008 at 10:30 pm

Meet Mel and Belle. To the untrained eye they are what’s called Echo Bots or Voice Messengers - you record your own message in the mic to the rear of the baby blue, then sit back while some unsuspecting passer by walks within sensor reach and sets them off.

Echo Bots

The sound quality is clear so they can be clearly heard even within a busy office environment.  Record music, film clips, quotes and much more. Their 3 tentacle-like legs are made with a bendable wire embedded within their plastic casing so you can twist, twirl and curl them into whatever poses you like. Each leg also has suction cup foot so you can stick your Echo Bot to a variety of surfaces and sneaky hideaways.

Fun Gadgets - The Annoy-A-Tron

December 28, 2007 at 2:57 pm

Check out this fun gadget, which is bound to annoy everyone.

annoyatron

The Annoy-a-tron generates a short (but very annoying, hence the name) beep every few minutes. Your unsuspecting target will have a hard time ‘timing’ the location of the sound because the beeps will vary in intervals ranging from 2 to 8 minutes. The 2kHz sound is generically annoying enough, but if you really really want to aggravate somebody, select the 12 kHz sound.

The Annoy-A-Tron is available to buy online for $9.99 (about £5) from ThinkGeek.
