Share your iPod Songs via miShare

February 4, 2008 at 8:05 am

If you need to copy songs from one iPod to another then the miShare can help. The miShare connects directly between two iPods and will copy song at the touch of a button without the need for a computer. A single button press copies the last song or video played or a pre-selected photo folder. A longer press duplicates any files you’ve got stored in your current On-The-Go playlist, so you can easily copy multiple files.

Unfortunately, the miShare doesn’t currently work with the iPhone or iPod Touch, but should work fine with all other iPods with the standard 30-pin dock connector (Mini, Nano, 3G, 4G, Video (5G), and Classic (6G) models).

Sonic the Hedgehog lands on the iPod

December 18, 2007 at 4:36 pm

I am sure I am not the only one who spent hours playing Sonic the Hedgehog many years ago on their Sega Mega Drive (I am not that old honest!).

sonic ipod

Well you can now get this classic game on your Apple iPod, it is available to download from iTunes for $4.99 (about £2.50).

You can play Sonic on your iPod whilst listening to your favourite tunes, and it is controlled via the scroll wheel.

It only works with the 3G iPod Nano, all 5G iPods and the iPod Classic, it doesn’t work on the iPod Touch or the iPhone.

I would love to see Sonic, and some other decent games on the iPhone, come on Apple sort it out!.

strange concepts - the wearable mobile device

A new wearable device that anyone can communicate with that is easier and lighter in mobile circumstances corresponding to the 3.5G, 4G communication standard. Human hand is the most basic communication method. For easier and simpler controls, it uses the instinctive input method “finger joint”. Excluding the thumb, each finger joint makes up twelve buttons, with “the knuckle button”, using the cell phone’s 3X4 keypad, likely being the most popular input method.

iPhone Price Reduced To Make Way For New 3G iPhone

September 5, 2007 at 8:18 pm

At todays Apple special event, Steve Jobs announced that the 8GB iPhone would be reduced from $599 to $399.

He said that he wanted to make the iPhone available to everyone at a reduced cost, he didn’t even mention the 4GB iPhone but if you look at the Apple Store its gone, you can now only buy the 8GB one.

iPhone UK

I can see only one reason for doing this, Apple have a new iPhone coming soon, a 3G version for Europe and the UK, which they will release in the US as well.

Now if Apple had released a 3G iPhone in the UK and Europe, without offering it to US customers at a decent price, there would have been a lot of unhappy iPhone owners in the US, but by reducing the price of the current iPhone Apple have paved the way for a more expensive 3G version, which could retail for $599.

You may be sceptical about this but there is good logic behind it, if Apple released their current iPhone in the UK and Europe they would not sell anywhere near the amount of iPhones as they would if they released a 3G version.

The 2.5G network or Edge which the iPhone runs on is very limited in Europe, with only one carrier in the Uk offering it.

3G is massive in the UK, all of the major mobile phone operators run it, and virtually every smart phone sold is 3G.

I suspect we will see an announcement in the very near future about a 3G iPhone for the UK and Europe, and it will probably be available to by over here November or December, just in time for the Christmas rush.

Update: the 4GB iPhone is now available at the Apple Store for $299.
