Download Android SDk
Google has just made the Android 1.0 SDK available, following the announcement of the G1 phone yesterday. The 1.0 signification means it’s technically out of beta and you can develop without fear of major changes to Android’s core programming.
According to Mobile Whack the only changes from the 0.9 release are some bug fixes and API inclusions.

Google Android App Store
While an official announcement has not been made, comments by Android project leader Andy Rubin indicate that an Android App Store is definitely in the works:
“It would be a great benefit to the Android community to provide a place where people can go to safely and securely download content and where a billing system would allow developers to get paid for their effort”.

Google Android
Texas Instruments Inc will demonstrate a prototype cell phone based on Android at the Mobile World Congress trade show, the highly anticipated mobile phone operating system being built by Google.
The device will allow “one button access” to key applications such as Web browsing, e-mail, messaging and video, making it easier for consumers to use such features. The prototype handset will run on TI’s OMAP850 phone processor, which includes Wi-Fi and Bluetooth short-range wireless connectivity.
Google had said while a number of companies would demonstrate Android products at the wireless trade show, the prototypes would give no real indication of the actual devices customers would ultimately be able to buy. TI is part of a group of about 30 companies that said they would support Google’s operating system, which is based on Linux, an open-source software platform. UK chip designer ARM Holdings is also expected to show prototypes of devices based on Android at the show.
