Mac OS X runs on the Asus Eee PC
Dan over at UNEASYsilence has managed to get OS X running on his Eee PC.

So, ever since I got the eeePC I’ve loved how easy it is to tinker with. Since I’m not a Linux guy, I dumped the Xandros preload and opted for Windows XP so I could you my EVDO USB datacard and blogging software easier, but I wondered could I install OSX on it? And, after trial and error - you can!
Firstly he managed to get Leopard running, but with the Eee PC’s limited specs it wasn’t running to fast, so he installed Tiger and apparantly it runs pretty well.
Head on over to UNEASYsilence for full details of the hack.

Asus Changes Spec’s On Its EEE PC701 - Price Goes Up
As the launch of the much anticipated Asus EEE PC701 draws near, Asus are changing the specs and increasing the price on its ultra low cost notebook PC.

The orginal EEE PC was supposed to retail for $200 (about £100), but it now looks like it will retail for about $250 (about £125).

The specs have changed as well, instead of 512MB of memory it will now come with 256MB, there is less storage space as well, the original eee specs quoted 4GB and it will now come with 2GB as standard.
Even with these price and spec changes, this tiny linux PC is still a bargain.
