Toshiba launches Camileo H10 HD camcorder
Toshiba has just announced the addition of a new HD Camera to its Camileo series.. the Camileo H10. With a palm-friendly design, the H10 is an SD card based high-definition digital video camera with 5x optical and 4x digital zoom, which is able to shoot footage at a resolution of 1280 x 720p.
All video is encoded in the H.264/MPEG4 format to the 64MB of integrated storage, although the device also supports up to 8GB SDHC cards, offering the ability to capture up to 4 additional hours of broadcast quality film at Toshiba’s reckoning of approximately 30 minutes HD video per gigabyte of memory.

Casio Reveals The World’s Fastest Camera
Casio has revealed details of a new prototype camera, that features a new high speed CMOS sensor and a high speed LSI image processing chip.

It features 12x optical zoom, and can achieve 60 images per second at maximum resolution, and it also features a pre-shot burst mode, which can capture images from the scene before you press the button.

It also features a VGA mode, and can capture movies at 300 fps.

No other details are available at the moment.

Sony’s New YouTube Friendly Video Camera
Sony has released details of their new Net-sharing video camera the NSC-GC1, which is designed for YouTube users who want to add a bit of quality to their video’s.

The picture quality available ranges from QVGA (320×240) at 15 frames per second to VGA (640×480) at 30 frames per second.
It uses Sony’s Memory Stick DUO memory cards, and it includes a Picture Motion Browser and portable software to enable easy uploading of videos to you tube.
It also doubles up a a normal camera, taking still shots at 5-pixels and has a built in flash.
There is no optical zoom lens, but at $200 (about £100) its not a bad buy if you are looking for a camera for your YouTube videos.

AMD’s New USB Dongles Bring HD DVR To Your Laptop Or PC

AMD has released details of two new ATI TV Wonder USB Dongles which will convert your PC or laptop into a DVR for your HD content.
The TV Wonder 600 USB will work across multiple platforms via the A/V-input adapter to record video from your VCR and camcorder. It also includes a credit card sized IR remote.
The TV Wonder 650 Combo PCIe gives you the ability to record your satellite or cable and also free-view and it also has the ability to record QAM stations. The 650 also gives you the option of recording digital TV programming while simultaneously watching or recording analog TV channels.
Both dongles are schedule for release in the US in September, no pricing details are available at present.
