New Mini Desktop PC - The LLUON Crystal
Korean company Trigem Computer, has released a new mini desktop PC the LLUON Crystal.

Two versions of this mini PC are available.

The first model is the LBFC27-RIBO, which features an Intel Core 2 Duo T5200 processor (1.66GHz), 1GB of RAM, a 320GB HDD and a GeForce 8400 GS graphics card.

The second model is the LCFVC35-RIBO, which features an Intel Core 2 Duo T5200 processor (2.00GHz), 2GB of RAM, a 500GB HDD and a GeForce 8400 GS graphics card, it also features built in WiFi.
The LBFC27-RIBO will retail for about $1300 (about £650) and the LCFVC35-RIBO will retail for about $1500 (about £750).

Nvidia Launches a 512MB GeForce 8800 GTS GFX Card
NVIDIA has launched a 512MB version of its GeForce 8800 GTS graphics card aimed at gamers.

It has a HD graphics engine which can do full offload of H.264 video decoding so the CPU can perform other tasks. It also supports SLI technology.
Other features of the Nividia GeForce 8800 GTS 512 MB include support for PCI Express 2.0, dual-link HDCP and a 256-bit memory interface.
The new Nividia GeForce 8800 GTS 512 MB will go on sale for around $300 (about £150).

LG Launches the XNOTE P300 13.3 inch LED Backlit Laptop
LG has launched a new laptop the XNOTE P300.

It features a 13.3. inch LED backlit display with a 1280×800 resolution as well as an Intel Core 2 Duo T7500 processor, 2GB of Ram, a GeForce 8600M video card, a 1.3 mega pixle camera, integrated WWAN, and HDMI out.

The LG XNOTE P300 weighs just 1.6kg and will go on sale for around $2,800 (about £1,400).

Mouse Computer Launches the Easy Cube 40 Series Mini PC
Check out the Easy Cube 40 Series PC from Japan’s Mouse Computer.

It comes in a small shuttle like case, a choice of either Intel Core Duo E4500 or Intel Core 2 Duo E6320 processors, 160GB or 250 GB hard drives, a 845G chipset video card or a GeForce 8500 GT 256 MB GFX card, Vista Home premium and 2GB of Ram.
The Easy Cube 40 series will retail for about $740 (about £390), which isn’t a bad price, it is available in Japan at the moment, no word on when it will be available elsewhere.

NVIDIA launches a new GeForce 8800 GT GFX card
NVIDIA has announced a new version of its popular 8800 GT graphics card.

The new 8800 GT delivers 112 stream processors, a fast 256-bit memory interface, and second-generation PureVideo HD technology.
The core and memory of this card is clocked at 600- and 900MHz respectively, features 1500MHz shader clock, 512MB memory, and 57.6GB/sec memory bandwidth.
It will go on sale in November for $249 (about £125).

HP’s New Gaming PC - The Blackbird 002 - For Serious Gamers
HP has launched its new Blackbird 002 PC, aimed at serious gamers.

The Blackbird 002 is a fully customizable, built to order PC that offers a choice of either AMD or Intel processors and motherboards, and you can also choose to have either an ATI GFX card or an Nvidia one.

HP says the main selling point of this high end PC is the user upgradable design, and you can swap hard drives, GFX cards, etc without the need for any tools. You also have the choice of either XP or Vista.

The Blackbird 002 is aimed at Gamers and tech enthusiasts, with many of the system parts being overclockable.

The base model starts at $2500 (about £1250) and for that you get an AMD A64X2 6000+ 3GHz processor, 256MB ATI RX630XT video card, 2GB DDR2-666 RAM, and a 500GB 7,200 RPM SATA drive.

The top end Blackbird 002 is a liquid-cooled, factory-overclocked Intel QX6850 3GHz chip, dual Nvidia GeForce 8800 cards, and much more, which will come in at about $6,500 (about £3,250) .
These new high end PC’s are available to order online now from HP.

Sony’s New Vaio F Series Laptops With Blu-Ray Drives
Sony have released details of its new Vaio F line of Laptops which will feature Blu-Ray drives.

The top of the line in the F Series is the FZ71, which features a 15.4 inch wide-screen display and a GeForce 8499M GT graphics card.

It comes with a 200GB HDD, up to 4GB of RAM, an Intel Core 2 Duo T7250 processor, a built in web-cam and full DHMI support.

No pricing details are available at the moment.

Shuttle’s New Barebone XPC With Built In Fingerprint Scanner
Shuttle has released details of another new Barebone PC the Shuttle XPC Barebone SN68PTG6 Deluxe.

The Shuttle XPC Barebone SN68PTG6 Deluxe features an integrated fingerprint scanner, WLAN, Blue-tooth, Dolby Digital Live!, and DTS Connect.

Designed for AMD’s AM2 chips, with an NVIDIA GeForce 7050PV / nForce 630a chipset, this new XPC can support up to 4GB of DDR2-800 RAM.
“Following the successful introduction of the first Intel SFF PC Barebones with HDMI, now come models supporting 64 bit AMD processors,” explains Tom Seiffert, Head of Marketing & PR at Shuttle Computer Handels GmbH. “The suffix Deluxe denotes new XPC Barebones that are especially well equipped.”
A Windows Vista compatible NVIDIA GeForce 7050PV graphics processor delivers rapid onboard graphics, and there’s an HDMI port (DVI via an adapter) and a VGA output for the utilisation of dual monitors. For even greater 3D performance, the Shuttle XPC Barebone SN68PTG6 Deluxe’s PCI Express slot can be loaded with a high performance graphics card.
High connectivity is provided for in the form of WLAN, gigabit LAN, and a Bluetooth module. There’s also the Speed-Link function allowing for direct connection to PCs by USB, and two eSATA ports for additional external drives.

Toshiba’s New Qosmio Media Laptops
Toshiba has launched two new Qosmio media laptops in Japan.

The new Laptops come in the form of the G40 and the F40.
The G40 features a 17 inch WUXGA (1920 x 1200) display; 2GHz, T7300 Core 2 Duo proc; 256MB of NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics, 2GB (up to 4GB supported) memory, 320GB of disk (2x 160GB); Gigabit Ethernet; HDMI out; a 2 megapixel webcam; and an HD DVD-R drive. It also brings plenty of expansion with 5x USB, Firewire, multiple memory card support, and a PCMCIA and ExpressCard/54 slot. It will retail for about $3500 (about £1750)
The F40 is a scaled down version of the G40 with a 15.4 inch screen and will cost about $850 (about £425)

Shuttle’s New Media Centre PC With Blu-ray
Shuttle have launched a new media centre PC the XPC G5 3201M.

This new PC is the first small form factor PC with a Blu-ray drive, for the latest HD content.

“High-definition entertainment in SFF PC format has, with this Shuttle XPC, become a reality,” explains Tom Seiffert, Head of Marketing & PR at Shuttle Computer Handels GmbH. “And the use of latest componentry makes possible the playback of full HD material while maintaining a low system load.”
The increased performance, necessary to achieve this, comes in the form of Core 2 series processors, up to 4 GB of RAM, and a NVIDIA GeForce 8600GTS graphics card with accelerator functions. The Shuttle XPC G5 32100M also fully supports HDCP copy protection media, via DVI and HDMI, guaranteeing hassle-free and smooth connections with modern flat screen displays; and the graphics card has the capacity to deliver big picture format entertainment, from the latest PC games, on your home TV.
The system’s basic configuration is based on Windows Vista Home Premium with its integrated media centre software. A practical remote control means that navigation of the system child’s play, while the VFD display in the front panel keeps you informed of what’s going on.
The Shuttle XPC G5 3201M is also highly communicative thanks to its integrated WLAN module, and gigabit LAN. Asus Launches 13.3″ U3 Notebook
Asus has launched a new notebook the U3.

It features a 13.3 inch screen, and uses Intel’s Santa Roso Platform.
It comes with Core 2 Duo processors, up to 2,5GB of DDR2 memory, an Nvidia GeForce 8400M G GPU and up to 160GB of HDD storage.
It doesn’t however have a built in optical drive, so you will need an external CD or DVD drive.
It also comes with wireless networking, Blue-tooth and also Built in 3G support, as well and a HDMI port and eSATA.
It is expected to retail for about $2,000 (about £1,000)

Shuttle’s New Barebone PC For AM2 Processors
Shuttle have announced details of their latest edition to their Barebone PC range the XPC Barebone SN68SG2 ‘ Glamour Series’

This new XPC is equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce 7025/nForce 630a chip set, it supports the latest mini-PC AMD processors with AM2 socket. The effective 250-watt power supply permits the use of powerful dual-core processors.

It can take up to 4GB or DDR2-800 RAM, has a Gigabit LAN and multiple SATA and eSATA connections, an NVIDIA GeForce 7025 graphics chip with the support of DirectX 9 and the drivers provided make it easy to use Windows Vista.

Toshiba Qosmio Notebook With HD DVD Recorder
Toshiba’s new notebook the Qosmio G45-AV680 is the first US notebook to go on sale with a built in HD DVD-R drive.

This 17 inch notebook features a HD DVD recorder, full HD playback at 1080p, an external USB HDTV tuner, a remote and Harman Kardon Bass Reflex stereo speakers, a built-in sub-woofer, a 1 Bit Digital Amplifier and Dolby Home Theater technology.
That’s not all, it comes with an Intel 2.0GHz Core 2 Duo T7300 processor, up to 4GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive, an Nvidia GeForce 8600 GT graphics card with 512MB memory, 802.11a/g/n wireless, web-cam, microphone, fingerprint reader, and Vista.
