It was built by David McNeely , and it was modeled on a Fender Geddy Lee Jazz four string Bass guitar.

He used the electronics from a standard Guitar Hero controller inside the Lego body for the controls, and it works exactly like the original with fret buttons, a strum bar, a whammy bar and control buttons.

Gaming giants Blizzard and Actvision have signed a deal to merge into a new company called ‘Activision Blizzard’, the deal is worth a massive $18 billion and will form one of the wrold’s largest game makers.

Blizzard are behind the massively popular mmorpg World of Warcraft, which has over 9 million monthly subcribers amd Activision are behind popular games like Guitar Hero and the Tony Hawk series.

As part of the merger plan, Blizzard will invest $2bn in the new company, while Activision is putting up $1bn.

The two companies are hoping that their different strengths will combine to form a business which is powerful on every gaming platform and in every territory.

This is bound to shake up the gaming industry a bit, and it will be interesting to see what games come out of this new alliance.
