Cool Mods - The Water Cooled PS3
Check out this water cooled PS3.

We’ve yet to hear a single complaint about Sony’s monolith overheating, but that didn’t stop PS3 fan (and dragon aficionado) Dragonpower from drilling some holes into the bottom of his PS3, running liquid coolant over the processors, and adding some extra fans just for good measure. The end result: 32ºC (90ºF, 305.15ºK) under heavy load. Oh, and it’s “almost dead silent,” which we’re assuming is a step down from “dead silent.”

Halo 3 first day sales hit $170 Million
Reuters are reporting that Halo 3’s first day sales have hit a whopping $170 million (about £84.3 million), which gives Microsoft’s entertainment division which has been loosing money a serious boost.

Halo 3 gamers surged onto Mircrosft’s Xbox live service with the release, with over a million members playing Halo 3 in the first 20 hours after release.
“It’s a good number,” said Andy Miedler, technology analyst at Edward Jones. “This certainly goes a long way toward bringing Microsoft’s entertainment division toward that full-year profitability, which we think is important for investors,” he added. Microsoft aims for a profit for the division in the current fiscal year.
The game is also key to Microsoft’s quest to widen its lead over rival Sony Corp in the battle for industry dominance of the current generation of game machines.
The game, in which players try to save humanity from an army of aliens, has had great reviews so far for its lush settings, cinematic story and breadth of features.
The first two “Halo” games have sold a combined 15 million copies and cemented Microsoft as a serious player in a video game industry that was dominated by Sony’s PlayStation 2.

Modder Tranforms Playstation Into A Robot
Check out this cool robot made out of an old Sony Playstation by modder Harolf IIano.
This is what Harold IIano had to say about his clever creation:
Mercury is a small 2-motor, light-seeking BEAM photovore. It was based from our dear friend, Wilf Rigter’s “single AC/HC240 reversing photovore”. The original circuit is fairly simple to build, with few components needed. But my version of this bot has a little bit of an “attitude” (well, kind of).

Sony PS3 to get 380 new Titles by next March

Sony Computer Entertainment president Kazuo Hirai has announced that the PS3 will get a staggering 380 new titles by next March.
At present there are around 60 PS3 games with about 50 download-only titles available for the PS3 worldwide.
Of these 380 new titles 200 will be software titles and 180 will be available as downloads.
This is an average of 40 new PS3 games every month for the next nine months, that’s a lot of new games, and it is bound to help Sony out of the hole they have dug for themselves with the PS3.
Now if they could find a way to make the PS3 competitively priced, they might just be able to have a hit on their hands with the PS3 as they did with the original PlayStation.
