Mint Wireless V10 Pocket Pico-Projector
The Pico-Projector soon to be launched by Mint Wireless is capable of creating a 50-inch 640 x 480 image from a box measuring just 125 x 55 x 23mm. The V10, which goes on sale in Australia in September 2008, can either connect to a laptop or use media stored on its 1GB of internal memory or via its SD slot. Definately need to get one of these for home movies.

Buffalo’s new 100GB portable SSD - SHD-UHRS
Buffalo has launched a new portable solid state disk the SHD-UHRS.

It is about the size of a credit card and has 100GB of storage and connects to your PC via USB.
The Buffalo SHD-UHRS isn’t cheap though at around $890 (about £445).

IO Data launches a waterproof, mini, 16GB hard drive - The IO Data Pocketable HDD
Io Data has launched a tiny hard drive, the HDMC UZ16ZM, or the Pocketable HDD.

Not much bigger than a sugar cube, it measures 2 x 2.3 x 0.7 inches.

It is completely waterproof an comes with a rubber USB cable.
The IO Data Pocketable HDD will go on sale in Japan for $241 (about £120).

The Worlds biggest Swiss Army Knife
The World’s biggest Swiss Army Knife, is in the Guiness Book of Records, and has no less that 87 tools with over 112 functions.

It has seven blades, three types of pliers, three golf tools (club face cleaner, shoe spike wrench, and divot repair tool), 25 flat- and Phillips-head screwdrivers and bits, saws, wrenches, and more.
It also has a bicycle chain rivet setter, signal whistle, 12/20-gauge shotgun choke tube tool, combination fish scaler, hook di sgorger, and line guide tool, cigar-cutting scissors, laser pointer, tire-tread gauge, toothpick, tweezers, and key ring and lots more.
It measures 3 1/4 inches by 8 3/4 inches and weighs 2 3/4 lbs (not exactly going to fit in your pocket), and costs $1,195 (about £600).

Asus EEE PC701 to be launched in the UK by RM
Educational IT provider Research Machines will launch Asus’ Eee PC701 in the UK in November.

It will be branded the RM Asus MiniBook, it’s a 890g, 22.5 x 16.5 x 2.1-3.5cm unit is based with a 7-inch display, either 256MB or 512MB of memory, 2GB or 4GB of solid-state storage, and a 900MHz Intel Celeron M processor.
Complete with VGA webcam, 802.11g Wi-Fi, Ethernet port, SD card reader and three USB ports, RM will offer an optional 3G data-card too.
The MiniBook will run Linux, and will cost £169 for the 256MB, 2GB model, topping out at £199 if you want a MiniBook with 512MB of RAM and a 4GB Flash drive with both models are due on 1st November.
Looks like November could be an expensive month for gadget fans in the UK with the launch of the iPhone and now the Asus eee PC,
