Samsung New Ultra Mobile PC
Today Samsung has launched a couple of new ultra mobile personal computers to expand its line of Q1U models, the Q1UP-V and Q1U-CMXP. The Q1U-CMXP maximizes connectivity with integrated 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, 10/100 BaseTX, and an integrated HSDPA 3G cellular modem supporting the AT&T Broadband Connect network.
With unsurpassed wired and wireless connection options, the Q1U-CMXP provides ubiquitous communications regardless of one’s location via the AT&T nationwide cellular network. In addition, the model boasts the same specifications as the industry standard Q1 Ultra XP model launched in May of 2007.

PMP meets UMPC - the UPOP U48S
Check out this combo PMP and UMPC called the UPOP.

It comes with a folding screen, runs Windows CE 5.0, has either 30GB or 60GB of storage, an SD slot and a 4.8 inch TFT screen.

It also comes with built in WiFi connectivity, a digital TV tuner and will play a variety of media files including DiVX, AVI,WMV,MPEG-4,MP3 and lots more.

It is also compatible with Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

Gigabyte Launches the M704 UMPC
Gigabyte has launced a new UMPC, the M704.

It comes with a it has a 1.2GHz VIA Esther ULV C7-M processor, a 7” LED backlit LCD with a 1024×600 resolution, and a 40 or 60GB HDD with Windows Vista, it weighs just 780 grams.The Gigabyte M704 UMPC has 768MB of DDr2 RAM, a 1.3 mega pixel webcam, WiFi, two USB ports and a card reader.

Full Specs on Samsung’s SPH-P92000 UMPC - Revealed
Samsung have released the specs on their SPH-P92000 UMPC.

It will come with a VIA C7-M processor, Windows XP Home, WIFI and HSDPA connectivity.
The 5 inch LCD screen will have a resolution of 800×600, and it comes with a 30GB HDD, 512MB of RAM, a 1.3 mega pixel camera, 2 USB ports and LAN.
No pricing details have been revealed yet

Sony’s UX-series UMPC gets a 64bit CPU and a 64GB SSD HDD
Sony has upgraded it’s UX-series UMPC.

This new upgraded version gets a 64bit processo, and a 64GB SSD hard disk drive.

They have chosen Intel’s U2200 and U2100 Core 2 Solo processors (running at 1.20GHz and 1.06GHz).
There is also the option of a 32-bit Celeron M523 processor.
These new upgraded UMPC’s will hit the stores in October, no pricing details are available as yet.

Packard Bell launches The EasyNote XS 7-inch UMPC
Packard Bell has announced its new EasyNote XS, a 7-inch ultra portable laptop that runs a full version of Windows XP Home edition.

It weighs just 950 grams and is pretty thin at just 30mm, has a full size keyboard and runs on the VIA C7-M Ultra Mobile Platform.

The EasyNote XS has built in Wi-Fi, a webcam, a 4 in 1 memory card reader, stereo speakers and two USB ports.

It comes with a 30GB HDD and up to 1024MB of RAM.
No pricing or release details are available yet, and with those specs, if Packard Bell price it right, it may be competition for the much anticipated Asus Eee PC701.Via Pocket-Lint

Samsung has unveiled details of their new UMPC the SPH-P9200.

It features a five inch touch screen, and a full sized QWERTY folding keyboard.

It also has a 30GB HDD, runs Windows XP and it connect to wireless internet via Mobile WiMax.

eee - Asus’s new Laptop PC

Asus has announced the eee PC.
‘eee’ stands for ‘Easy to learn, work, play’; ‘Excellent internet experience’ and ‘Excellent mobile computing experience’.
It is reported to have a battery life of 3 hours, and the base model will go one sale for about $200 (about £100) with the top model costing $500 (about £250), if the prices are right, this will be serious competition, for UMPC’s and Palm’s new Foleo.
The eee features a 7″ display and weighs just 0.8kg, with an Intel Mobile CPU, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Intel UMA graphics, and up to a 16GB Flash drive.
It also features a webcam and intergrated speakers.
For that price, its a bargain.
