HydraCoach Intelligent Water Bottle

August 3, 2008 at 10:17 pm

The HydraCoach Intelligent water bottle can optimize your water intake, usually 72 ounces daily, although athletes and people with certain medical conditions could need more or less. By consulting the integrated LED display, you can check your hydration goal and keep a check on how close you are to it.

It uses Generated Electronic Pulse technology via a sensor in the head unit and a floating cartridge, combining to show the amount of fluid passing through the system. So when you reach your goal or limit, you’ll know instantly.

LED Shower Light

June 10, 2008 at 10:17 am

Here’s a fun gadget to brighten up your mornings, the LED shower light.

led shower light

The LED Shower Light is a brilliant idea. It installs to a standard shower pipe in mere minutes. When you turn the shower on, the water powers a turbine and the LED Shower Light…well, lights up! Blue let’s you know the water is chilly. When the water warms up to 89° F (32° C), the light changes to red. Now you can step in and not freeze your giblets off. And you don’t even need to turn on the light now, because your whole shower glows.

The LED shower light is available to buy online for $39.99 from Think Geek.

Sports Car turns into a boat at the touch of a button

February 1, 2008 at 9:39 am

The Rinspeed Splash unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show can reach 125mph on the road and accelerates to 60mph in 5.9 seconds and its performance on water is impressive too, reaching an impressive 45 knots,  fast enough for water skiing or knee boarding. The secret of the car is hydrofoil, a nautical technology used to lift the hull of boats from the water to increase speed and the cars body is watertight and special buoyancy chambers provide extra lift.

Cheeseburger in a can

January 29, 2008 at 12:45 pm

Check the worlds first burger in a can by Trekking-Mahlzeiten. To cook simply boil the can in water for a couple of minutes and its ready to eat. It has a shelf life of twelve months and does not require any refrigeration.

Cheeseburger in a can

The most remarkable of Trekking-Mahlzeiten’s products is not the cheeseburger but Peronin, a complete food in a liquid form, marketed as “fuel for the bloodstream.” Peronin is the food of choice for athletes competing in extreme endurance events (triathlons, marathons, ironman contests, desert races), mountain climbers and adventure seekers. Unlike regular food, it does not first have to be decomposed in the stomach, but is assimilated directly. Whereas the body will assimilate less than 60 percent of the total calorie intake efficiently in extreme situations (cold, heat, fear and fatigue), Peronin delivers an outstanding 96 percent.
