OpenFrame – a new generation Internet home phone
This stylish home phone can sync with your exisiting contact lists and calendars. You can also watch streaming video, send IM or SMS, check weather reports and play music. It also has a built in alarm clock and snooze button.

The OpenFrame is designed to be used with services like Verizon’s FiOS and are based on Freescale MX31 processors While the device’s custom OS is based on a hacked Linux kernel, all of the software above the kernel is closed and proprietary. OpenPeak will offer a full API for developing third-party applications, but only to carriers, not to consumers.

Solio H1000 Hybrid Solar Charger - Review
I received a Solio Hybrid H1000 solar charger in the post recently so I thought it was about time to test this gadget out.

The Solio H1000 Hybrid charger is a dual powered mobile charged for mobile phone’s PDA’s and other small gadgets.
It comes with a bunch of connections, including a mini USB, a female USB connections for iPod’s, iPhone’s and other MP3 players, as well as connectors for the majority of mobile phones
Out of the box it comes fully charged, so you are ready to plug it in and charge your devices.
I tested it on my iPhone and it seems to work pretty well and delivers a decent charge to the iPhone.
There are two way you can charge this portable gadget, the first is by plugging it into your PC, I charged it a few days ago and then left it to see how long it would hold the charge, it works well and holds the charge.
The other way is by solar power, this doesn’t work as well, mind you this could be down to the weather conditions here at the moment, no sun and lots of rain.
Overall the Solio H1000 is a great solution if you want to charge a variety of gadgets when you are out and about, even if you just charge it by the USB on your PC it is a great backup power source.
The Solio H1000 Hybrid Charger retails for $79.95 (about £40) and is available to buy online from Amazon.

Apple is Spying on iPhone customers through weather and stock apps
According to the guys over at Slash Gear, Apple is tracking iPhone users through the weather and stock applications on the iPhone.

Whever you access the stock of weather apps on your iPhone, the data is sent to a URL at Apple.com, along with your IMEI number and it tracks where you are and what stocks you are looking up.
Did I sign an agreement for Apple to collect this data from me when I bought my iPhone? I think not!
Apparanetly Apple could be using the data collected for a number of reasons, from tracking unlocked iPhones, to collecting user data.
Now I have no problem with Apple collecting this data, but why weren’t they up front about it ?
